ANIMAL CHIROPRACTIC
Movement · Comfort · Performance
Individualized chiropractic care for horses and dogs focused on movement, mobility, comfort, recovery, and performance.
Whether I’m working with a competitive athlete, a working animal, or a beloved companion, my approach begins with understanding how they move and identifying areas of restriction or compensation that may be affecting how they feel and function.
WHEN ANIMALS MAY BENEFIT FROM CARE
HORSES
Changes in movement, comfort, or performance may indicate that your horse could benefit from an evaluation.
Stiffness or decreased flexibility
Difficulty bending or working evenly in both directions
Changes in gait, stride, or performance
Resistance under saddle
Difficulty with collection, transitions, or lead changes
Sensitivity around the back, neck, or pelvis
Changes following training, competition, travel, or injury
DOGS
Subtle changes in everyday movement can sometimes be the first indication that something isn't functioning as well as it should.
Difficulty getting up or lying down
Hesitation with stairs, jumping, or getting into the car
Stiffness after rest or activity
Changes in gait or posture
Decreased activity or willingness to play
Sensitivity when touched or handled
Changes following activity, competition, surgery, or injury
Not every change in movement is musculoskeletal. Animal chiropractic care is intended to complement not replace appropriate veterinary care.
MORE THAN AN ADJUSTMENT
An individualized, movement-focused approach to animal care.
Animal chiropractic is only one part of how I approach care. Depending on the animal’s needs, I may incorporate additional therapies to support mobility, recovery, comfort, and performance.
Each treatment is individualized based on how the animal moves, what I find during the evaluation, and their specific activity or performance demands.
CHIROPRACTIC
Focused on joint mobility, movement, and areas of restriction or compensation.
CLASS IV LASER
May be incorporated to support tissue recovery, comfort, and tissue health..
SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
A targeted therapy that may be used to support recovery in certain musculoskeletal conditions.
PEMF
May be incorporated as part of a broader recovery and wellness approach.
My work with animals grew naturally from two things that have always been important to me: my love of animals and my background in sports rehabilitation.
In 2018, I completed specialized education in animal chiropractic through Options for Animals and began incorporating animal care into my practice. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with horses and dogs ranging from beloved family companions to working and competitive animals.
Animals can’t point to where something hurts or explain what feels different. That means evaluation starts with observation how they stand, move, compensate, and respond. I combine that information with a hands-on assessment to better understand where restrictions or altered movement patterns may be affecting them.
Whether I’m working with a human athlete, a performance horse, or a family dog, my philosophy is much the same: understand the whole picture, treat the individual in front of me, and help them move and function at their best.
MY APPROACH TO ANIMAL CARE
The same movement focused philosophy - just on four legs.
